Command Council

The branch is led by the Lieutenant General, together with the Command Council, which serves as the branch’s highest decision-making body. The council is composed of the Lieutenant General, Brigadier Generals commanding the three branch commands, as well as the Adjutant of the Marechaussee.

Commandant of the Koninklijke Marechaussee

Lieutenant General JollyJamesrom assumed command as Commandant of the Koninklijke Marechaussee on September 7, 2026.

The Lieutenant General had been serving as Deputy Commandant of the Koninklijke Marechaussee, prior to his service as Major General, he served as the Commandant of General Affairs, in that role, he was actively involved in managing units based in the Dutch Caribbean and overseeing branch events.

Since enlisting on November 28, 2021, he has demonstrated exceptional leadership, including over a year at the helm of the Opleidings-, Trainings-en Kenniscentrum.

Deputy Commandant of the Koninklijke Marechaussee

Major General erik6719 assumed command as Deputy Commandant of the Koninklijke Marechaussee on September 9, 2026.

Prior to his appointment as Major General he served as the Commandant of Internal Affairs from March 10, 2024.

Prior to his appointment as Commandant of Internal Affairs, he served as the Deputy Commandant of the Opleidings-, Trainings-, en Kenniscentrum from the 18th of April 2023 to the 18th of September 2023 before resigning to assume a role within the Defensie Screening Team.

Brigadier General IhaveMidichlorians

Commandant of the Specialized Command

Brigadier General IhaveMidichlorians assumed the role of Commandant of the Specialized Command on the 15th of September, 2024.

IhaveMidichlorians is one of the longest-serving members of the branch, having joined on March 6th, 2020.

The Brigadier General has played an integral part in providing additional professional training for our branch members in fieldcraft and close-quarters combat.

He holds the distinction of being the longest-serving Commanding Officer of the Brigade Speciale Beveiligingsopdrachten Close Protection Team.

Brigadier General oxSofiee

Commandant of the General Command

Brigadier General oxSofiee assumed command as Commandant of the General Command on February 28, 2026.

Since enlisting on 22 June 2023, she has played a vital role within the Marechaussee Maritime Service, steadily rising through the ranks to become the unit’s Commanding Officer.

In addition to her leadership in the Maritime Service, the Brigadier General has made significant contributions to OTC operations and has been instrumental in foreign affairs through her service as Military Assistant Attaché.

Adjutant of the Koninklijke Marechaussee

Former Adjutant Watch_Commander95 assumed command as Adjutant of the Koninklijke Marechaussee on September 1, 2025 until September 7, 2026. This text serves as a placeholder until the appointment of a new Adjudant.

Since enlisting on February 22, 2023, he has held a vital role in the training of enlistees in fieldcraft, preparing them for overseas operations. Furthermore, he supported non-commissioned officers in training to become duty officers during major incidents.

Prior to this appointment, the Adjutant served in roles such as Commanding Officer of the Patrol Unit, before becoming Commandant at the Opleidings-, Trainings- en Kenniscentrum in 2024.
